I'm really enjoying teaching this week, while my professor is out of town. This is a photo from the last time I was a teacher, as a canoe guide / trail foreman in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, on the Minnesota-Canada border near Ely, MN. Just like those kids I worked with while canoeing, the students in my class seem to really enjoy learning the material, and I genuinely feel like I'm connecting with them. It means a lot to me.
